According to reports, this green and low-carbon steel structure warehouse project is located in the core area of the energy-saving and environmental protection industrial park. With a total investment of 120 million yuan, it covers an area of 15 mu (approximately 1 hectare) and has a total building area of 7,800 square meters. The project was planned and constructed by a company with green building design qualifications. It primarily serves the storage, transfer, and supporting services for energy-saving and environmentally friendly equipment and materials within the park, balancing practicality, environmental friendliness, and economy.
Throughout the project's construction, the concept of "green construction and low-carbon operation" was consistently upheld, comprehensively implementing green development requirements in material selection and construction processes. The main structure uses high-strength, environmentally friendly steel, which not only has excellent load-bearing capacity and strong earthquake and wind resistance but is also recyclable and reusable, with a steel recycling rate exceeding 98%, reducing construction waste at the source. Meanwhile, the prefabricated construction process, using factory-prefabricated steel components and precise on-site hoisting, significantly reduces dust and noise pollution during construction, and lowers energy consumption by more than 35% compared to traditional concrete warehouses.
To further enhance low-carbon operations, the warehouse is equipped with a rainwater harvesting system and a solar lighting system. Treated rainwater can be used for irrigation and ground cleaning, while the solar lighting system meets the warehouse's daily lighting needs, saving approximately 80,000 kWh of electricity annually and effectively reducing energy consumption during operation. Furthermore, the warehouse features an environmentally friendly ventilation design, reducing the frequency of air conditioning use. Combined with insulated steel components, it achieves natural temperature regulation, reducing both operating costs and carbon emissions.
This steel structure warehouse is designed to fully adapt to the characteristics of energy-saving and environmentally friendly industrial goods. It features zoned storage areas with dedicated storage spaces for different types of environmentally friendly equipment and materials, equipped with moisture-proof, dust-proof, and corrosion-proof facilities to ensure safe storage. Simultaneously, the warehouse has reserved logistics transportation channels and is equipped with professional loading and unloading equipment, enabling rapid transshipment and efficient distribution of goods, effectively improving the company's warehousing operation efficiency and reducing logistics costs.
The project leader stated that the commissioning of this green, low-carbon steel structure warehouse not only fills the gap in specialized warehousing for the region's energy-saving and environmentally friendly industries but also highlights the unique advantages of steel structure buildings in the green and low-carbon field. It is expected to serve over 150 energy-saving and environmentally friendly enterprises within the park annually, with an annual cargo throughput of 400,000 tons, helping enterprises reduce warehousing operating costs and promoting the large-scale and standardized development of the industry.
